Unable to Interrogate in Edge browser with Pega Robotics 19.1.83
Hi,
I have recently downloaded 19.1.83 version of Pega Robotics for interrogating websites in Microsoft Edge, I'm able to launch the website in Edge on "Start Interrogation", but unable to interrogate any of the controls.
I can see that Pega Robotics extension for Edge is enabled and I can also see the Bulls Eye Interrogation form, when I click on bulls eye and hover on any of the controls, it does not highlight.
Please let me know how do I troubleshoot it.

We are able to interrogate using chrome or IE, only Edge we are facing issue,
Its Microsoft Defender Antivirus 1.339.1324.0
Unfortunately we are not able to upload images/files as its blocked by the company.

@VarunK03 Are you able to interrogate www.pega.com for example? Are you launching Edge in Compatibility mode? What is the build version of Edge? It would need to be the Chromium-based version at least.

I tried www.pega.com as well without any success. I just launch in Edge, doesn't show me that its in compatibility mode specifically.

@VarunK03 There must be something incorrectly registered with your Edge extension. Try this;
- Close all browsers.
- Open Task Manager.
- Change to the Details tab.
- Sort by Name by clicking on the Name column.
- Ensure that there are no Chrome or Edge processes running. If they are, end them.
- Check to make sure that the process "OpenSpan.Translators.Web.MessagingHost.exe" is not running. If it is, end it.
- Launch Edge.
- Check Task Manager to see if the "OpenSpan.Translators.Web.MessagingHost.exe" has started.
If it hasn't, then that would identify that the extension is not registered properly.

Yes, tried the above steps as mentioned and OpenSpan.Translators.Web.MessagingHost.exe process starts when Edge is launched, I even reinstalled the Plug-in still facing the same issue,

What worked and looked a bit strange, not sure If I'm doing anything wrong, have verified in another machine as well :
- Added an IE adapter(Web Application) to the solution and clicked on "Start Interrogation", the IE adapter was loaded, and then stopped the interrogation.
- Now started the interrogation for Edge adapter(UWA), the adaptor was loaded and we were able to interrogate the controls in Edge browser.
- Note: Start path value was different in IE adapter and Edge adapter.
- But once we restarted the visual studio/or system, we were not able to interrogate the Edge adapter again, looks like we had to start the IE adapter again and close it in order to interrogate the controls in Edge browser. This pattern needs to be followed for Edge Adapter to work, it was the same behaviour in other systems as well.
Any points on the behaviour and how to proceed for a permanent fix.

Hi Varun,
Is this the issue observed with a specific web page or the same behavior with all websites (like google.com etc..,)? I would start checking with other UWA (Chrome) or Web Adaptors to see if the interrogation working or not so that we will see the issue is specific to Edge or happening with all adaptors.
Also, specify the antivirus installed on this environment? It would be helpful if you can share some screenshots of the studio after interrogation.
