unable to decrypt long text using function 'decryptPropertyValue'
Hello ,
We are using OOTB function decryptPropertyValue , we are unable to decrypt the value if the text is more than 3000 characters. it works fine till around 2.5k characters
In database table the property value is shown encrypted. the property is not used in UI.
Please suggest how can we resolve this.pega version 7.2.1

Hello ,
the issue was internal.
The declare index table had the column limited to 3000 charcters.
so any text beyond 3k characters was not stored properly .
For reports when we used the column from delcare index table we saw this issue .
This issue is solved by increasing the column size in database to 20k+ buffer of 36 charaters for aes encryption because the corresponding UI field size limit is 20 k

Hi Vishruthi,
The decryptPropertyValue(String input) method is available in com.pega.pegarules.exec.internal.util.crypto.PRCryptoImpl class, so probably you can try to enable the debug for this class and check the behavior if something gets logged then share it with us for the analysis, if not then you would probably need to raise an SR for the further investigation by our Product Specialists in screen share.
