UDF issue after DB cloning
Hi,
We are having issue with udf functions.
We cloned existing oracle DB to create another PEGA environment. After this activity, new pega platform is consistently showing below error messages:
.pyAttachments: ** ** An error occured on executing the query for the report definition - There was a problem getting a list: code: 29541 SQLState: 99999 Message: ORA-29541: class DATA3DEV.com/pega/pegarules/data/udf/directstreamreader/DirectStreamReader could not be resolved DatabaseException caused by prior exception: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-29541: class DATA3DEV.com/pega/pegarules/data/udf/directstreamreader/DirectStreamReader could not be resolved | SQL Code: 29541 | SQL State: 99999
Please help in resolving the issue.

The UDFs do not move well. You can try to correct the compilation errors but the best option is to just drop them from the cloned environment and then use the generateudf script that comes with the media to reinstall them. See this guide for details about this error and how to resolve it.

Encountered the same issue in Pega 8.1.5 after copying the database from an existing environment to a new development one. Resolution I followed based on other comments on the thread.
- Dropped 3 functions on the database:
PR_READ_DECIMAL_FROM_STREAM
PR_READ_FROM_STREAM
PR_READ_INT_FROM_STREAM
- On the exploded directory of Pega 8.1.5 installer, corrected contents of 'setupdatabase.properties' file to map to my newly created database. (ensure the database user credentials is allowed to update grant privileges)
- Run 'generateudf.sh --action upgrade'
