Threshold for Grouping correlating predictors
Please explain why the default setting for correlating predictors grouping is 0,8 and not for example 0,5 which according to our data scientists and information I found about correlation coefficent in Internet also indicates a strong correlation (0,7-1 is considered "very strong" and 0,5-0,7 "strong").
As the performance (AUC) of Adaptive model in our Baltic unit is very low then our data scientists indicated that lowering the threshold for correlating predictors grouping might help to increase the Adaptive performance. At the same time I read from Pega Academy material and previous Q&As that it's not recommended to change the default settings. Please elaborate!
