Is there a way to inspect deployment archive before deployment in target environment ?
We are working on Continuous Delivery efforts in Pega Applications. We would like to understand if there is a way to inspect deployment archive for content of the rules / data instances that are part of the archive before deployment in target environment. We need to perform some pre-deployment checks like the following:
As per my understanding, there is no way to perform pre-deployment checks as mentioned above.
I am assuming that as part of Continuous Delivery efforts, deployment archive holds required Applications and RuleSets. In that case, such archives can be imported in test/dummy environment first. Once all the verifications have been done in this environment, deployment archive can be imported in the target environment.
Also, before creating the archive…
If needed (though not required), RuleSets (that will be referred in a deployment archive) can be locked.
If feasible, required checks can be performed on source environment itself.
