Is there an API call to pull child case from a  top level case?

We are looking for an API that will pull a child case from a top level case, and that former child case becomes a top level case.

not sure, but could you please refer the below OOTB API's

  • RULE-OBJ-ACTIVITY WORK- COPYWORK
  • RULE-OBJ-ACTIVITY WORK- PXCREATETOPCASE

Not an API call, but there is OOTB activity, pzGetDescendants.

You can see an example of it's use in pxForceCaseClose.

Edit: sorry just saw the second half of the question, you could then utilise activity, RemoveFromCover.
