Textarea Character Counter Issue in Pega 7.4.0
Textarea character counter is counting new line as 1 character in stead of 2 characters. This textarea has a max limit of 4000 characters. Because a new line takes 1 character, it allows more than 4000 characters to be entered.
When the case is saved the optimised column which holds the 4000 characters truncates additional characters. I face this issue in Pega 7.4.0 version. Please let me know if anyone have any solution.

Are you saying that the issue is happening only in case of Optimised properties?
My understanding is that if the issue is there, it would come up for both Optimised/Un-optimised properties.

Yes it is for both optimised & unoptimised properties.

Hi Can you try creating a edit validate with the following code and check the scenario .
return theValue.replace("\r\n", "\n").length() > 4000 ? false : true;
