Storage of MasterCard API Key

We have a policy requirement to encrypt the API sensitive keys maintained in Pega. From the Smart Dispute Framework  it appears that the API key which you generate in the mastercard developer portal is saved in a DSS called "MCOMClaimsMgrConsumerKey". Has anyone implemented any encryption of the consumer key in Smart Dispute and provide some guidance around how to change the Framework more effectively.
