SQL Sever Database configuration related to Collation Type

Hi All,

Please clarify the following points related to Collation Type

1. What is the Collation type that need to be configured while setting the database with respect to Pega? 2. How to select and classify the collation types based on specification (especially when we are going for globalization)? Any suggestions? 3. If the collation type selected is default, Does Pega 7 insert and retrieve the data into database ?

Hi Sripada,

(3) The default collation will work just fine.

(1) The default will work.

(2) The one caveat would be turning on case sensitivity (CS vs CI). That may introduce problems depending on the circumstances. You would need the language packs from Pega.
