special characters for messageManifest/GetMessage messageInput and how to escape them
I am looking for the special characters for messageManifest/GetMessage messageInput and how to escape them. last time I asked I was given a link to the MSBuild special characters and can say that that is not the right answer.

What have you observed from your testing, in regards to the special characters? Also can you give an example of a special character that you're trying to use?

I tried to pass a particularly complicated string, it had paths and asterisks and stuff like that in it, and a dialog box pops up for a split second and then everything terminates. this only happens for this call so I assume I sent a special character. I want to be able to put anything from UTF-8 through it.

for example, I can enter "the first argument was {0} and the second was {1}" in the message definition, so in this case { and } are special characters. this begs the question; are those the only special characters? regardless, what am I supposed to do if I want curl braces in the message? Also these questions for the messageInput arguments to getMessage. what if I passed "{-55}" or something, would that work? if not how do I escape it so that it will work? again, are the braces the only special characters?
