Hi All,

We are trying to do a POC to showcase the benefits of using SnowBound with PRPC to the client. I have downloaded the latest version of PRPC personal edition and installed the same successfully. I downloaded the latest version of snowbound and the corresponding License JAR for snowbound. Installed the Snowbound WAR on the Tomcat server shipped with the PRPC personal edition package, imported the Snowbound JAR in PEGA Instance, and included the Snowbound License JAR in accordance with the installation document of Snowbound.

Here are my issues/queries for Snowbound installation:- 1.) The documentation specifies the following: Note: This component is currently only available on-prem or customer-managed clouds. Does this mean that the component is not supported if the PEGA instance is on PEGA Managed cloud?

2.) On installing and running the snowbound component provided I am getting the below error:-  java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: com/snowbound/ajax/servlet/AjaxServlet has been compiled by a more recent version of the Java Runtime (class file version 55.0), this version of the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 52.0 (unable to load class com.snowbound.ajax.servlet.AjaxServlet) PEGA Tomcat instance comes with the JDK8 version installed on it. Is this a bug in Snowbound Component in PEGA Repository or do I need to install jdk11 on the same tomcat server as well?

3.) What is the version of VirtualViewer used in the component provided in PEGA repository? I can see the latest component version is v4 but does it include Snowbounf v5.3? 

4.) On contacting Snowbound support, I could find that virtualviewer v5.3 doesn't support JDK8. For JDK8 support they have launched a recent version of v5.5. Do we have any v5.5 component available in PEGA repository?

I am posting these queries hoping that someone must have worked on Snowbound component and might be able to help with these issues.
