Slowness Issue
We have been seeing issues of slowness where when we analyze the logs (using PLA) we find that there was a long requesting user before the system crashed. What could be the possible reasons for getting a long requesting user error in the logs? The severity of the log was marked critical.

Hi Rashi,
Basically the long requesting user can happen for many reasons, before your system gets crashed their might be any thread dump being generated, so i suggest you to analyze the thread dump to find the real root cause of the specific requestor which is waiting for the lock and what operation is trying to perform during that time.

We could not conclude a lot even after analyzing the thread dump. Couldn't draw conclusions. Can you please tell us if there is some specific error that we should be seeing to understand the issue?
Also, we analyzed the logs using PLA.

How many thread dumps are you able to see before the system went down and have you seen any memory spikes?
What was the heap memory utilized at that point of time?
Also you can attach the PegaRULES and PegaAlert logs for further analysis from our side.

We did not see authentication issues in the logs, so I am assuming that the article you shared is not really relevant for our issue.

Do you see PEGA0019 alert in pega alert logs , if yes you can go through the below pdn article to understand on the alert.

First you need to identify on which activity or rule the requestor is keep on running, it would be better you can attach the log files for analysis. Please hide sensitive information before uploading the logs.
