Most mismatches happen because Pega code hashes text (string/base64) instead of the raw file bytes, or it changes encoding/line-endings. Hash the exact bytes that PowerShell’s Get-FileHash uses. In your function, open the attachment as a stream (do not convert to String): get a java.io.InputStream from the repository/attachment (e.g., tools.getDatabase().openStream or Repository API), then do: MessageDigest md = MessageDigest.getInstance("SHA-256"); try (DigestInputStream dis = new DigestInputStream(in, md)) { byte[] buf = new byte[8192]; while (dis.read(buf) != -1) {} } byte[] digest = md.digest(); convert to hex without extra chars. Don’t read pyFileSource or base64 text; if you only have base64, Base64.decode first and hash the decoded bytes. Compare case-insensitively with PowerShell (it prints uppercase). Also confirm you’re hashing the same file version and size, and that no BOM or newline is added during upload.
