Setting up a reports database in 8.4
Hi Folks,
Updated the Database Table data instances to identify alternate databases in the Reports Database field.
I am not able to find the Use alternate database checkbox on the Data Access tab of the report definition rules. PFA.

In Pega 8, RD data Access tab UI look is different. Reporting database dropdown does the same job as pega 7 checkbox use alternate database.

When you select the Reporting Database dropdown value as Prefer reporting data source if defined option, then the pyUseAlternateDB flag will be set to true, which meets your requirement.

In the above reply, I was pointing to select "Prefer reporting data source if defined" value from the Reporting database dropdown in the Data access tab.

Hi Sam, Did you check data access tab - reporting database dropdown. It has options primary data source only and Prefer reporting data source if it is defined
