Accepted Solution
Prerequisites
- Ensure you have the appropriate privileges to create and manage data flows in Pega.
- Identify the data source and ensure it supports partitioning.
Steps to Set Up Partitions in Pega Data Flow
**Configure the Data Flow:**
- In the data flow designer, you will see the data sources, transformations, and destinations.
- Click on the data source component to open its properties.
**Set Up Partitioning:**
- In the properties pane of the data source, look for the **Partitioning** section. The availability of partitioning settings may vary based on the type of data source you are using (e.g., database table, data set).
- Enable partitioning by selecting the appropriate option (e.g., **Enable Partitioning** or similar).
- Configure the partitioning key. This key is the field by which the data will be partitioned. Choose a field that ensures a balanced distribution of data across partitions.
- Specify the number of partitions. This number should be based on the expected volume of data and the processing power available.
**Save and Run the Data Flow:**
- Save your changes to the data flow.
