Service URL's with Pega 8

Hi

we are upgrading from Pega 7 to Pega 8.

We noticed a behaviour change on how the service URL is built on a REST Service. With Pega 7 the service was published under /prweb/PRServiceRest. With Pega 8, on the service resource properties we see /prweb/api/ - the service itself can still be reached with /prweb/PRServiceRest in the URL.

Is there a plan to have a 'general' servlet for all service types under ..api.. ? And if yes - what time horizont is planned. I also opened an SR INC-163732 - I was sent to ask the question here.
