Service child case in Go-Go Road exercise
Hi All,
I wanted to learn a bit Pega capabilities and started System Architect Essentials training. The approach is to learn by doing so i follow the step by step instruction in pdf attached to the course (v 8.1 Exercise Guide).
Unfortunately I stuck at the stage where Service child case is required to create, it's required for the selection of offered services and further data transform to the resolution stage.
Do I miss something or there is no detailed description in Exercise Guide for these? I would be grateful for guiding me through the problem

Page 21, under heading "Create a Service case as a child case". This describes how you can create a child case from the parent case.

Yes, I've followed that step. In particular no 6 is problematic:
6. In the contextual properties panel on the right, from the Create the following case drop-down,
select Service to create a Service case. A pop-up window is displayed that informs you that the
Service case will be set as a child case.
On the drop down, there is no Service case. I need to create it, and it would be fine, but from further instruction it seems it is supposed to be somehow configured. I can't exactly recall what is the issue, as I abandoned to course and I learn on m own.
Have you tried to go step by step as described in the instruction?

Same excercise as in Business architect. Seems a defect in exercise setup.
Step 6 (in exercise guide c-1312) doesn't say to select child case, although the heading says you will be creating a child case.
When you do select Create child case(s), "Service" (pre-configured case type) is not available. You can only create a new case type or [Other]

I encountered the same issue.
I worked around it by creating a blank "Service" case, this gets you past this exercise.
When you get to the subsequent data model exercise, make sure you login using the correct author_?? credential which *d*m not *c*m as in this case exercise. Otherwise you'll get stuck configuring a blank service case.
