Send outlook meeting invite and cancel the invite

Hello,

I have a requirement for one of the clients to send an outlook meeting invite and cancel the invite. I can find few articles for sending the meeting invite, but the invite is sent as a .ics file. Can someone throw some light on the possibility of sending the meeting as it happens in outlook and also on cancelling the meeting?
