Scenario Testing : What values does the Custom Selector in advanced section accept
What values does the Custom Selector in advanced section accept?
While recording scenario test cases, what is the function of the "Custom Selector" textbox in the advanced section (just below the actions section).
I was unable to find it anywhere. I am using Scenario testing in Pega 8.4

Custom selector is to show the custom register controls.
By default scenario testing supports pega OOTB controls ex: text input, button, label ect..
But if there are elements in custom code like in controls, user has to register those controls to support record and reply of scenario tests.
if user has registered the controls to support scenario testing, if a step is recorded for them, for that step ID of the custom control is shown.

I was thinking that that must be a space where we can provide stuffs like xpaths or css-selectors if data-test-id is not provided for a specific control.
I guess data-test-id is absolutely mandatory right?
Another question - Can we use D_pyScenerioTestData to run a single scenario test case with multiple sets of data, in order to facilitate data-driven testing?

Yes, Unique data-test-ids are mandatory to record and reply of controls in scenario tests.
data-driven testing is not possible with data page D_pyScenerioTestData.
