Scan Near-field communication(NFC) tags

Dear All,

I have a below requirement on NFC tag (Near Field Communication).

Pega Application should scan the NFC tag and auto populate the information in specific properties which are there in the “e-check list” (Screen).

Please share the possible ways to scan the NFC tags by Pega app.

Hi Lokesh,

If NFC scanning isn't available in the Pega Mobile Application by default (last time I checked, it wasn't) - then I would say you could still develop your *own* Mobile App - use this to call out to a PRPC backend - perhaps a REST Service or similar.

Of course you would incur a cost in developing a Mobile App from scratch in this way - since you would have to maintain it separately from the PRPC Application itself.

I don't know the road map for the Mobile App - and whether it is likely or not to include NFC support or not I'm afraid - so I hope somebody else have more information in that regard.
