In Designer studio > Data Explorer > Open the required Data Type > Records tab, now you have the option to either Export or Import contents. (it will be .csv file)

Can you clarify whether the provided solutions help you or not?

Its not clear what you mean by your response to the suggested method?

For instance:

- Is CSV format not a suitable EXCEL format for your needs?

- When you say "I need to do that in Pega Studio" - do you mean that you need to generate the file in a different context? (Perhaps in an Activity or something?).

For the 2nd point: you could try running TRACER against the "Export" Action - and see whether you can re-use the same mechanism for your own use? (I haven't tried this I have to say).
