Rollback in Pega deployment Manager 7.3.1
Can someone please let me know how is the Rollback of any Build being implemented in Pega deployment Manager provided in Pega 7.3.1
The documentation says, there is a Rollback button available which we can click if the build is getting failed from being deployed from one enviornment to other.
But I need to know how is that being handled internally in Pega and what type of Rollback is that ? Is it a DB restore which is done or the Rules installed will be deleted ?
Also, is there a way to include the DB scripts to be executed as part of the Build deployment ?

The Pega 7.2.2 and higher versions of the platform has the feature to rollback, Deployment Manager uses the same feature of the platform to perform rollback, https://pdn.pega.com/release-note/roll-back-system-changes-using-restore-points.
The schema changes which are packaged in the RAP will be performed automatically, but no custom scripts can be attached / included in this process.

Thanks for the answer Chaitra. But coming to restore points , how much space do we need when we create these restore points in data base? Is it that, it something like the database backup which we take before every production deployment and would need same space depending on the data? The reason I am asking is it won’t be feasible to create the restore points for data schema if the data schema is huge, is it recommended to have restore points for rules schema only and not data schema?

Restore points doesn't take a backup of entire database. The older copy of Rule/Data is stored during import in respective history table. During restore the current rule will be replaced with old rule

Thanks for the reply. So this means all the rule/data with respective history will be restored.
1. How about the work objects which are stored in the Data schema, can we retrore them with restore points?
2. Also, the data tables created in pega I know the history tables will be created, will the history tables be updated with all the entries getting updated to the data instances inside that tables ? Which can be restored using the restore point feature?
