Retrieving data using input screen, Activity and Report definition

We need to design a report definition based on two tables.

Please find the use case below.

  • User gives input and based on this logic needs to get the value from another column from Table 1.
  • Above data would be the input to retrieve data from Table 2.
  • We tried this by creating an activity which will take user input as Parameter. Then based on this we will derive the date and call the Report definition.
  • Problem is we are unable to integrate the input screen, activity and Report definition. When tried to call from flow the report definition is not getting called.

Could you please help us in achieving.

Hi

You can try using Grid and specify the report definition as the source of it.

For the report definition you can pass the parameter as well so that it retrieves the data as per the parameter given.Find screenshot below.

We tried this option but we also want the export capabilities of Report Definition.

Can we integrate those into this grid..

You can try using an activity "pzRDExportWrapper and pass appropriate parameters.

Hi,

1. You can use obj-browse to get the data from other table.

2. You can call the activity Rule-Obj-Report-Definition.pxRetrieveReportData with required parameters to run the report definition.

We need 2 actions to be invoked

One when the user enter the data through UI

Other would be to invoke the activity.

We tried the above suggestion already but we are not able to launch the RD from the Customized Case Manager portal.
