Retrieving archived case data in Constellation
We have developed a new application using the Smart Investigate Agentic Automation framework on Constellation (currently on version 24.2.3, with an upgrade to 25.1.1 planned). And we are planning to use the OOTB Case Archival feature to archive the cases in the application.
However, we noticed that the available documentation does not provide sufficient details on retrieving archived case data in Constellation (https://docs.pega.com/bundle/platform/page/platform/system-administration/case-archival-data-reviewing.html). Additionally, retrieval components such as the default Case Management search do not appear to be available in Constellation. Please correct us if our understanding is incorrect.

We also came across a 7-month-old post (https://support.pega.com/question/archival-checkbox-case-type-settings) where @Chetan.Chaudhari, Principal Product Manager for Case Management, mentioned that “c11n doesn't support searching and reviewing archived cases. That support is on '26 roadmap.”
Given this, we would like to check with the forum:
- Has anyone implemented OOTB Case Archival in Constellation? If yes, how are you handling retrieval of archived cases?
- @Chetan.Chaudhari, is this feature still planned for the 26.x versions, or has there been any change? Do you have any recommendations or workarounds to validate archived cases from the UI?
