Retiring Connector and Metadata Wizard

Is there a plan to retire the Connector and Metadata Wizard?  When is the timeframe for that?  I understand the Generate Connector Rules has been replaced by the integration wizards, but what will Generate Data Mapping Rules be replaced by?
