REST service activity not getting called
Hi there,
I created a service package and a REST service and can test it using the simulator, but when I try to test the service from Postman, I get an empty response body with status 200 and my service activity never gets called. I know this, because I use Log-Message to output a trace message, which I can see when testing with the simulator. When I test with Postman no log message is written to the log. Does anyone have an idea what might be happening here? This is on PEGA Platform 8.1.1

The latest version of my Rule-Service-REST rule wasn't checked in. That's why my activity wasn't being invoked as the latest checked in version did not have it. So it's working fine now :-)
This explains why it worked in the Simulator but not from Postman.

Hi ,
Could you please try to trace the service -rest rule(Open you service rest rule and from other actions you will see trace option) . Click on trace and then hit the service from postman. Please upload tracer details if you can't figure out.

Thanks for your reply.
I tried your suggestion, but nothing appears in the trace window. Is there something special that I need to setup for the tracing to work? I know I am hitting my service, because if I provide an invalid jwt, my authentication service causes a 401 to be returned. I attach a screenshot of the trace window

Hello Johan,
Please verify in Postman if you have set the content-Type as per your service in Header. Please see below.
Also please attach the screens of request and response in Postman. Do you get the proper response if you Hit the service URL in any browser?

Content Type is only applicable when you have a request body - which there isn't on a GET. Instead, an Accept header on a GET request will signal the server what content type you are able to consume.
