requirement to use the client API which are based on RESTFUL services
We are using PRPC 6.3sp1. We have a requirement to use the client API which are based on RESTFUL services. Client APIs are secured using OAuth 2.0 authorization framework.
In order to invoke the services using OAuth, 4 types of grant types are available (Authorization Code/ client certificate/Implicit).

We are using PRPC 6.3sp1. We have a requirement to use the client API which are based on RESTFUL services. Client APIs are secured using OAuth 2.0 authorization framework.
In order to invoke the services using OAuth, 4 types of grant types are available (Authorization Code/ client certificate/Implicit). We would need to make two service calls (Get the token using first API Call, Use the token and make second API call for the actual request)
Does PRPC 6.3 supports OAuth 2.0 framework?
Does all the grant types are supported?
If we have to use client certificate, how to proceed with the client certificate approach in PRPC 6.3 SP1?
Any thoughts would be really appreciated.

Hi Ravikumar,

In our past we have seen instances when OAuth 2.0 is not supported on PRPC 7.1.7 only. Implementation began from ML 9 version hence can state that OAuth 2.0 Framework will not be supported on PRPC 6.3 SP 1.

You can upgrade to our latest product 7.2.X versions and refer the article : https://docs-previous.pega.com/data-and-integration/accessing-pega-api-using-oauth-20  which explains the grant types that are supported.

Hi Shanthini,

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, the upgrade option is out of the question in near future.

Is there a customized approach to invoke the client certificate and pass the details (client certificate, consumer key & consumer secret) and get the token?

Please advise.

I am doubtful that we can achieve using a custom approach as this involves integration with other service.
