Replace entire string in application (not at runtime)
Hello,
For a future requirement that we need to implement, we have been asked to replace the string “MyCo” with “MyCoNew” wherever it appears throughout the application (Label, GUI, Report, Excel, Paragraph, etc.).
Is there a quick way to do this in Pega without searching (All Content - Exact Match) and modifying every single point in the software?
It is impossible with field values, since it is not enough to replace only the string MyCo with MyCoNew, but the full name must be reported. The field value only translates it if:
Translate from = MyCo Sales link
For = MyCoNew Sales link

@Leonardo Lancellotti I would suggest you to perform below steps
1) Create a report which returns all rules having string "MyCo"
2) Create an activity which will
2a) Call RD
2b) Iterate over results of RD
2c) open the rule using obj-open-by-handle
2d) Copy the page and update rule name, remove pzinskey and pyid and save the page. (This step will create a new rule)
2e) withdraw the rule opened at 2c and save the original. (This step is to withdraw old rule)
