Removing Special Characters from Text

Hi

My requirement is to use RichTextEditor as Control and after user enters text data with some text as bold,italic on to property.Then the value of the clipboard for that property should not contain all html tags. If there any way to do it? Should i write a control for this?

Suppose if I ENTER DATA ON TO RichTextEdiotor.below is how it is displaying on that.How to Remmove Special tags ?

Is there any reason to use an RTE if you want to save as plain text?

You can use the Text area for this purpose. The reason being, if you remove those tags, it will act like normal text and RTE will be of no use.
