Remote Case In Customer service
We are trying to use remote cases in Customer Service framework. Add task will call case types that exist in other Pega apps. So Pega Customer service is the consumer and other pega app will be producer app.
To give a background, both customer service and producer app is using UI tool kit and both apps are in Pega 8.8 version
Now I am finding the documentation for Remote Cases in customer service documentation conflicting.
As per the remote case type for customer service documentation, it says "The local application requires Pega Platform version 8.7 or later for Theme UI-Kit, and the remote application requires Pega Platform version 8.x or later of for Theme UI-Kit (Pega Platform version 8.5 or later is recommended)." But if we look at general Remote Case type documentation the prerequisite says "
- Build both producer and consumer applications by using Constellation. Only applications that are based on Constellation support remote case types." (https://docs.pega.com/bundle/platform-88/page/platform/case-management/remote-case-types.html)
We initially looked at the Remote case type for customer service documentation and we notice the Remote case type option doesnt appear at all when we create a new case type from App studio and it only comes when we change the UI to constellation in the application rule
