Queue Management with new server instance creation
Our pega application is deployed in AWS cloud and sometimes when there are issues we create new instances. This changes the Node ID (System ID) in every new instance creation. Currently we have two nodes. One node is dedicated for all background processing (Agents). My question is around queue management.
- If there are 1000 queue items scheduled for processing and if we do a sudden switch in instances will this cause any issues in processing these items as Node Id is now different?
- Why I asked this question is, I can see Node ID in the XML preview of Queue Items. Is Pega using this Node ID in processing Queue Items? (Please check the attached image)
- If Pega is using node Id in processing of Queue items, will it lead queue items to be in broken queue as now Node Id is different?
Thanks in advance.
