.pyStatusWork is being reset by Work-.UpdateStatus Activity (forward chaining) !!!
I am setting the status (.pyStatusWork) at one of my connectors as 'Resolved-Duplicate'. But after its been set, a forward chaining happens and Work-.UpdateStatus Activity is called and the status of the case is being reset to 'New' with a warning as below. Can someone please tell me the reason of the status being reset ?
" pyStatusWork is being altered on a resolved work object "

Did you check if there's any Declare Trigger set on the pyStatusWork? That might be what's trigerring the update.
Also, I wouldn't set the the pyStatusWork directly, I believe it's better to use the activity you mentioned above to change the status as it will take care of setting certain system properties/flags.

Maybe a Ticket ? Ususally when you set a "Resolve" like status, Tickets are called as well. So maybe on your configuration the Ticket is triggering a process doing an unexpected update of pyStatusWork.

Hi you are updating pyStatusWork property on connector .
How ever UpdateStatus activity takes StatusWork as parameter and do a property set on pyStatusWork property on step 6 . Refer the screenshot .
if the parameter StatusWork is not same as the status that u are setting on connector definitely it will override as in both the case you are updating same property .
The scenario where its working I feel both the connector status and the status you are passing to UpdateStatus activity parameter are same .
But in the case where its not working both are not same.
I don’t know why you are using this in both place . Either one can stage the status .

Thanks for the reply !!! Im still struggling with this issue.
To clarify, im just setting a resolved status on the connector by assigning a value to pyStatusWork. Then Pega calls the UpdateStatus activity by itself. This activity is not called by me.
How can I retain the status that im setting in the connector ? Please help !!!
