pyLastReserveID of Data-UniqueID instance is not getting updated in 8.3.1 Exercise system

Hi,

I am using 8.3.1 LSA Course Exercise system (downloaded VM instance). When I create cases in the system its not updating the  pyLastReserveID of Data-UniqueID instance.

Not sure the logic behind it. Could some one help me in understanding the changes in GenerateID logic in 8.3.1 (if any)
