PYID in D_CPMPortalContext is Spaces when a Case is closed using the X button.

We are using CSHC 7.1.4 for one of the Contact Center Application.We noticed that .pyid in D_CPMPortalContext is spaces whenever a Case or Interaction is closed using the X button.Is this because of any bug in Pega OOTB or is it working as designed ?
