pxGenerateExcelFile Generates File, but Cannot Open

I am calling an activity that uses this activity, and it downloads the file, but it is not able to be opened. 

When I use the old method (MSOGenerateExcelFile) it works just fine. 

We are currently on v8.6.6 and getting an error that says that we should not get there.  I have checked several places for advice, but I must be missing something.

Note: Please be cautious and take proper back of tables before any update in rule schema. You may need to restart PEGA clearing cache after making changes in the pega rules table.

@ArulDevan I will give this fix a try and report back if it works or not.  Not sure why none of these showed up in my search of articles, but that is another issue...LOL
