ProductMigration.zip config settings help
Hi,
Are there any settings that can be leveraged to migrate the RAP file without being them generated again using product migration command line utility.
From the sources can understand that we have to specify the target and source along with the product name and version in source system and the util will create zip/jar file and migrate it to target.
But we don't want the zip/jar to be generated especially for data instance related stuffs.
We can go for PrpcUtils but it is taking quite a bit of time (~15-20 mins) to complete the deployment as it is generating the cache in its own temp space.

Hi,
I found another post that has some information that may answer your question about the use of the 7.2.1 scripts with 7.2:

The scripts are generally included with the distribution media for the version(s) that they are supported with.

Hi Dheena,
You can use the Migration wizard to load the product directly into another Process Commander system. Go to Designer Studio->Application->Migrate.

Hello
In the Migrate landing page, have you tried selecting Product under the migration details ?
It will give you the option to select pre generated Product file ( which can be crated by you earlier ) and migrate that to other environment.

Thanks for the replies Santanu and Ajay.
But we are looking for deployments of multiple RAP files (say around 20+ at the same time) for which the product file (in service export directory) may not be available in the system itself as it may have been created a month back or so.
Also if we use the Pega Migrate wizard it will create a new RAP file which should not happen as data instances might have been updated.
As of now we are using PRPCUtils but it takes some time to wrap up, so looking for alternative solutions.

You can use prpcServiceUtils for faster operations if you are on pega 7.2.1. If you are on an earlier version, then I don't think we have any other way apart from prpcUtils for this requirement.

Has the Utils file been updated in 7.2.1 Ajay? if so is it possible to pass it to me?
BTW am using 7.2 and hope that 7.2.1 version will work here.
