Process Fabric remote application upgrade - Component installation

Currently we are using PPF 2.1 in our applications. One of the remote application is in 8.5 and we installed PPF component for 8.5. Now remote application is planning to upgrade from 8.5 to 8.8. 

We want to know any procedural document / steps to update the PPF component from 8.5 to 8.8.
