Possible to install multiple versions of OpenSpan Plug-in for Microsoft Visual Studio 2015
At my company we manage robotic automations that were written with different run time versions. It would be really nice to be able to choose which version of the plug-in I want to open a project with. Currently I have been installing and uninstalling the plug-in when I need to switch version, which takes up a lot of my time. Is it possible to install more than one version of the open span plug-in for visual studio on the same machine?

Hello Danny,
Unfortunately this is not possible. It's generally advised as a best practice to do all your development on the same version (a more recent version at that). Is there a reason that you are not upgrading certain solutions to a newer version?

Thanks for the reply. I figured it wouldn't be possible but I wanted to ask just to get it out here. Our organization has plenty of reasons why we aren't upgrading certain solutions, most of it is just time/resource constraints that I cannot change. The reason I am asking now is we are upgrading a select number of automations that are a higher priority for updating to a newer run time version (because they take advantage of bug fixes), while continuing to support automations that are on the older run time version. They will all be moved to the same version, but that will take time.
A work around we will most likely be using is having separate development machines/virtual machines for different run time versions. That will prevent me from reinstalling the plugin over and over again on my computer.
