Planning to upgrade from v8.8.x to the next version which supports DB2

  1. Can anyone assist us in determining which Pega version we should upgrade to after v8.8.x, considering we are using DB2 as our primary database and require continued support from Pega Global Support?

  2. If we upgrade from Pega v8.8.x to v24.1.1 with DB2 as the primary database, will Pega Global Customer Support (GCS) continue to provide support for this configuration?

@Savvy 1.) You can upgrade to Infinity '23 but that is the end of the road for using DB2

2.) No, DB2 is not an option for Infinity '24.1

From the Platform Support Guide:

Important IBM DB LUW Notes

"Beginning in Pega Platform '23, IBM DB2 for LUW is deprecated. No new client applications should be deployed using IBM DB2 for LUW. In Pega Platform '24.1, IBM DB2 for LUW is no longer available."
