performance become slow when pzPvStream is introduced

In our project, we had a table that dont have pzPvStream, since we need to maintain te Pycommited date we introduced the pzPvStream so that PEGA will automatically stamp the Pycommited date. Once pzPvStream is introduced, performance becomes very slow. we were doing an extraction and flag update that was taking 30 mins now take about 1 day.
