PegaRULES_Extract_Marker.txt file
Hi All - I am not seeing PegaRULES_Extract_Marker.txt file in some of the nodes inside pega_tmp directory where pega prpc in installed. What are the implecations of this not being present. Some of the nodes in an environment I dont even see the pega_tmp folder inside app server folder. Could someone help me understand the imprtance of this file other than rebulding classes and caches and what happens when this file is not present?

should be defined in -Dpega.tmpdir jvm argument, normally defined in setDomainEnv.bat (or setDomainEnv.sh for unix platfoms) as described in the installation guide.

Thanks for the clarifition. I think the question we should ask is that: Why are they not there? Were they removed manually? Are the pega temporary directories changed since last restart (i.e., change of temp directory location through configuration or even host name change)? I am not aware of any OOTB automatic process doing that.

I recently found that this file is created in some other folder. in some environment it is created in the ../pega_temp/pr_temp folder and in some environments it is created in .... /tmp/_WL_user/prpc_wls_jee4/vi4ugh/public folders. Can someone please let me know what setting decides this file location?
