Pega Web Analytics with Google Tag Manager
Hello,
I have a client requirement for tracking certain click data within our Pega mashup application. I have installed Pega Web Analytics Component version 8 in our application, and I have added the vendor header snippet to establish a connection with Google Analytics. I have also tested out the App Data and Case Info properties that this component seems to have configured OOTB.
I am requesting help when trying to define custom GTM events, and having those custom events fired within the click handler (aka the Click Tab) of the web analytics component.
I see that the preconfigured properties (Pega Case ID, Harness, Section, etc) are stored in an object called oClickData and oData. These objects are populated in several HTML fragment rules. It is here I am hoping to make edits for the client's custom events.
Is this a viable solution? Has anyone implemented GTM using this method? Any help is appreciated, thank you much.
