Pega support for Json/Jsonb DB types

We have a requirement to store large JSON string into a database table. The underlying database here is postgresql and it supports column types jason & jasonb which takes care of JSON validation. Does pega supports these types?

Someone else may be able to provide more definitive feedback, but I've checked the 7.3.1 codebase, developer forum on Epics, User Stories, Bugs, etc and internal Pega message boards and there is no talk on Postgres' types json or jsonb. In fact, the code that shows supported Postgres types does not even consider those types.
