Pega Robotics - Pega Synchronization engine setup

Hi ,

During Pega Robotic Runtime installation , Pega synchronization engine always gets installed.

Is there a way to not install the synchronization engine as we are not using any synchronization server ?

When synchronization engine is installed in the background Pega.updaterservice.exe is running which makes the runtime agent loading slower. If we stop the Pega.updaterservice.exe the runtime agent loads faster.

In RDA scenario, the prod users will not have admin rights to stop the Pega.updaterservice.exe service.

Hi Varun,

By default, Sync Engine will be installed while installing the Runtime. Instead of Stopping the Pega Updator service, change the startup to "Manual" and Stop, stop that it will not start during the next environment restart.
