Pega Mobile App - SwitchLocale not working

HI,

We are trying to switch between english(en_AU) and german(de_DE) using the JS API switch locale as prescribed in https://docs-previous.pega.com/user-experience/86/configuring-localization-offline-enabled-mobile-apps

SwitchLocale Config

We also ensure the case type is offline enabled. But on click of button nothing happens. No error message also.

The behavior is same in Mobile App and web portal.

Did any one had it working?
