Pega Knowledge Data Base Configuration
We are in the initial stages of planning for a deployment of Pega Knowledge for our customer and at this point have a very limited understanding of the product. One of the questions that has come up is if Pega Knowledge requires its own database instance or if the data is stored within the Pega database itself in the data schema. Also is it required that the Pega Knowledge data be stored within the main Pega data or is segregating it out to its own database an option for us to consider. Any information as to the product requirements/best practices would be appreaciated.

in Pega we have three type of objects Rule,Data and Work and these objects can be saved either in single schema or split schema(Rule and Data) .
For single schema configuration all the objects will be stored inside single schema .
For split schema rules related objects will be saved in PegaRULES schema whereas Data and work objects will be saved in PegaDATA.
