Pega Customer decision HUB installation

Hello,

   we have an existing Pega platform with Customer service and sales automation FW for few years.  Now we are also going to install and use Pega CDH FW.

Based on the recommendation by Pega in below link Is it mandatory to have Separate app server and Database for Pega CDH or we can install and implement in existing server an DB ?

1. Is it ok to install and implement Pega CDH in Same app server and DB?

 

2. I am not sure how this impacts future upgrades ?
