Pega CDH Multiple Region/Country in a Single Instance

Hi,

Can we go with a Single Pega Instance for multiple regions or countries or  we mandatorily need separate instance for separate countries, is it a best practise and why/why not?

What are the issues that might arise during implementation, maintenance or enhancement of the pega CDH Application if we use the same instance and application for multiple regions or countries. Need some inputs and suggestions here.
