We configured an OpenID Authentication Service for authenticating into our application using microsoft as IdProvider.

The configuration has been working smoothly for almost an year. About one month ago the customer started experimenting an unexpected issue. When they try to log-in, at the first time, they get the attached error. From the second time it works well.

We tried to change with a SAML authentication and we got the very same error.

On the Catalina Log files and PegaRules Log files we found the following Warning:

I/O Exception occurred while writing or flushing the stream org.apache.catalina.connector.ClientAbortException: java.io.IOException: Broken pipe

I/O Exception occurred while closing the Stream org.apache.catalina.connector.ClientAbortException: java.io.IOException: Broken pipe

I attach the complete logs.

Have anybody faced similar error?

Are you aware of some changes on microsoft side that could cause this issue?
