Pega 7.4 installed but [email protected] is not working
Hi,
I installed Pega 7.4 and also updated the password as it prompted for "[email protected]" but when i try to login using the new password i am not able to log in. i tried "install" that also did not work.
Is there any other default operator id which i can use to log in to the system ?
kindly share if any other id is available and the default password for the same.

Assume you are using a 7.4 VM as opposed to a 7.4 PE.
Every operator is disabled at the beginning in a Pega 7.4 VM except [email protected]. After logging in as that operator you are required to change the password.
You should save your new [email protected] password to a file then copy/paste it when logging in again.
There are two OOTB operators that are initially disabled on a VM initially and have Admin privileges, namely [email protected] and ExternalInviteUser.
What you could do next time is enable either or both of these operators setting the password to install12345! to meet the requirement it should be at least 10 characters.
For now it looks like you will have to start over. Making a backup of a VM immediately after downloading is a good practice as well.

Are you able to access the database and do you have a Pega installation directory for 7.4?
The scripts/utils directory contains a prpcUtils script that supports an "import" option.
In a different 7.4 system you could export the [email protected] operator record.
In the database you are having problems, delete the [email protected] record.
Then use the prpcUtils script to import the RAP that contains the [email protected] operator record for which you know the password.

yes i have access to DB. But i am not aware that from where i can access that installation directory and i guess i wont be having access to that directory.
If I insert that operator id record in db directly, will that work?

I doubt there is a way to export/import a single table record using Postgres.
All you need is the scripts directory, not the archives and rules directories.
